I so wish it were possible to adequately explain and promote the amazing work God is doing in Flores de Villa!!
David explained how they started in this ministry and how God has worked - is working. I loved his saying - all belong - that's first - you live in this community - you belong. You belong no matter what!! Belonging hopefully progresses - morphs into - believing - believing in Jesus -which hopefully - finally - results in transformed lives (behave) - changed lives - changed behaviors because of Jesus in our lives.
This ministry is about relief when relief is needed - it's about empowerment when empowerment is needed - and it is about development when that is needed. One way does not fit all needs.
English camp week is actually barely about learning English. It is about creating and experiencing community. The most important thing here in Peru, is relationships. We discover we share God sized hearts even when our language differs.
Here we are meeting people who really know that they have changed - not by there own efforts but because Jesus lives in them - loves them.
Like pictures from a vacation - describing this experience is never as powerful as experiencing the real deal!
I feel so grateful to God to be here again - to live a week - to share life - In community with the children and with the whole community of Flores de Villa.
